In loving memory of Mrs. Mary Janell Wright Stallings, age 88, who has been in declining health since 2009, passed away peacefully Wednesday night, June 4, 2014. She was known to her siblings as Nell and was preceded in death by her husband, Edward V. Stallings; her parents, Charlie and Maggie Ware Wright. She is also predeceased by seven brothers, Broadus, Spurgeon, Joseph M., Graham, Virgil, Horace, and John Wright and a sister, Ruth Wright.
Mary was a native of Cleveland County, a graduate of Number Three High School and attended Business school in Charlotte for computer science. She was a 1990 retiree from J C Penney and after retirement relocated to Marietta, GA to be closer to family members where she continued working and in 2006, returned to Shelby.
She is survived by three children, Harold W. Bell and wife Linda of Pinehurst, Russell Stallings and wife Nancy of Shelby, and Margaret Stallings Arnold and husband Ed of Sanford. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Francis, Morgan and Curtis Stallings, Jeffrey and Ryan Bell; a blessed great-grandchild, Connor Bell; two sisters, Lois Mason of Lynchburg, Va., and Ruby Young of Shelby; numerous nieces and nephews and her precious furry family members... Angel, Baby, and Grayson who will miss her dearly.
There will be a private service at Sunset Cemetery at a later date.
