Monna Rita Boyles, age 86 , of Vale, North Carolina, passed away on Thursday, June 13th, 2024 at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory.

Rita was born on January 13th, 1938, and was the daughter of the late H. DeVaughn, Sr. and Selma Boyles. In addition to her parents, Rita was also preceded in death by her three brothers, Dr. H.D. Boyles, Jr., Dr. Barry Boyles, and Dr. George Keith Boyles.

Rita is survived by her niece, Denise Alala; two nephews, James and George Boyles; two great nieces, Mackenzie Ryan and Chase Alala; one sister-in-law, Mitzi Boyles

A memorial service will he held on Thursday, June 27th, 2024 at 11:00 am at Hebron Methodist Church with the
Rev. Paul Simpson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
