Mr. Randy W. Johnson, 60, of Newton passed away Monday February 21, 2011 at
Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory.
He was born in Catawba County on May 7, 1950, to Jane Fulbright Johnson and
the late Howard Gene Johnson. Randy was a graduate of Fred T. Ford High
School class of 1968 and graduated from Appalachian State University in
1972. He was retired from the US Postal Service as a clerk for the Hickory
office. He also served in the US Marine Corp during the Vietnam Conflict.
Randy was a member of Laurel Hill United Methodist Church and the American
Legion Post 48.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife of 27 years Debbie
Yarbro Johnson; two sons, Lance Johnson and Dillon Johnson both of Newton;
and two sisters, Mickie Johnson Sherrill and Debra Jane Johnson both of
Conover.
Visitation, 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston.

Funeral Services, 3:00 PM, Thursday, Laurel Hill United Methodist Church,
Vale. The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes before the
service.
