What: St. Pawty's Day Parade & Blocktail Party!
When: 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm, March 15.
Where: RollOver Pets, 105 W. Warren St., Uptown Shelby, NC.
More Info: Clifford's Army Rescue(CARE) is so excited to bring back the St. Pawty's Day gathering and PARADE. CARE will bring several of their rescue dogs for you to meet, looking for their Furever homes! Our Block Tail Party will begin at RollOver Pets and we will be strolling Warren Street to Dragonfly Wine Market, who will be offering some Irish pawsome drinks. The St. Pawty's PARADE will start at 4 pm. Bring your pup, or multiple pups, and join in on the parade and pawsome fun! C.A.R.E (Clifford's Army Rescue Extravaganza) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all volunteer, dog rescue organization.

What: Spring Pet Food Giveaway
When: 10:00 am until 2:00 pm, March 22.
Where: Future CARE Facility, (former E.O. Studios), 1056 Old Boilings Springs Rd., Shelby NC.
More Info: Will be passing out free pet food at our future facility until 2:00 pm or whenever we run out of food, which ever happens first. It will be a true DRIVE THROUGH so please stay in your vehicle and we will come to you to find out your needs. If you are in need of pet food to be able to keep your companion animal, please come by and see us. We are strong believers in pet retention and want to help any way we can. If you would like to donate food to help with this free food drive, please let us know, we will be glad to pick up and add to the food we have to give out to those in need or feel free to drop off the morning of the food drive. ~Announcements~
Writer's INK: Local writing group will hold their next meeting on March 7. This group meets the first Friday of each month and is always held at the Cleveland County Library in Shelby. Meeting time is from 1-3 pm and is held in the small conference room. Anyone with an interest in writing whether it's prose or poetry is welcome to attend and share with this informal peer group.

Nar-Anon Support Group: Meets 6:30 pm weekly on Tuesdays at the First Baptist Church, 120 N. Lafayette St., Shelby, NC. Nar-Anon is a support group for those affected by someone else's drug addiction. We meet in the classroom off Dale St. between Sumter & Campbell St. Park on the side of the church or in the alley. Al-Anon Support Groups: Al-Anon Family Support Groups support those who are affected by someone else's drinking and drug use. No Name AFG meets on Mondays at Noon at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, 510 W Sumter St., Shelby. Contact Kay at 704-473-4891. Monthly Meeting at American Legion, Post 82: 2nd Monday of every month. Meal at 6:00 pm, Meeting at 6:30 pm. Warren F. Hoyle, American Legion, Post 82, 1628 South Lafayette St., Shelby, NC. We invite all Veterans to attend our monthly meetings. If you are a son or grandson of a veteran, you can join the Sons of the American Legion. Members of the Legion family can join the Legion Riders. To join the American Legion, the veteran holds an honorable discharge or is an active duty veteran. Spouses, daughters, granddaughters of a veteran can join the Auxiliary.
