CCRM Hosts 4th Annual Celebrate Hope Banquet
Cleveland County Rescue Mission announces today that it will host its Fourth Annual Celebrate Hope Banquet on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 7 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church (606 South Dekalb Street, Shelby). Cost for tickets is $10 per person and all proceeds will be used to provide food for the hungry, shelter for the homeless, medical assistance for the poor, and a renewed sense of self-worth for so many. The event will feature a homemade meal and desserts as well as special presentations by two program graduates who will share their celebrations of hope with those in attendance. Foothills Post-Polio Support Group
The Foothills Post- Polio Support Group, formerly called the Cleveland County Post-Polio Support Group, will hold the November meeting at the conference room of the Life Enrichment Center of Shelby on Monday, November 16, 2015 at 6:00 in the evening. The conference room is located at the back of the building. The center is located off Hwy 18 North on Life Enrichment Blvd, just north of Cornerstone Dentistry. Each person attending should bring his/her own meal. Drinks- coffee and water - will be provided. The program will be given by Shirley Sparks as she tells her story of surviving polio and her success with acupuncture. If you are a polio survivor please plan to attend. Cliffords Army's Annual Santa Pics and Holiday Bake Sale will be Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Tractor Supply Company, located at 1655 E. Dixon Blvd. Shelby NC. Santa will be on hand for you to have pictures of your two legged and/or four legged babies with him. Cost is $5 and pictures are printed on site, while you wait.
