Peggy Ann Waldrop Shook, 71, of Lawndale, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at her home.

Born in Cleveland County, on October 30, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Jimmy Waldrop and Jessie Waldrop. Peggy was retired from Hickory Chair and was of the Methodist Faith. She also enjoyed gardening.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her two brothers, Joe Waldrop and Rev. David Waldrop.

She is survived by her son Dean Shook and wife Lidieth of Shelby; daughter Kelly Shook Allen and boyfriend David Dennis of Lawndale; two sisters, Kathy Lemmons of Hickory and Janet Hartley of Lenoir; three grandchildren, Joshua Allen, Yaudieth Jones, and Aaron Leon; four great grandchildren, Tucker Allen, Alyssa Allen, Addalynn Croft Leon, and Alexander Jones.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 22, 2023, at 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.
