Reba Green Hicks, age 86, of Henrietta, NC died Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born April 25, 1928 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Leroy Green and Montie Hines Green. Reba worked in textiles for many years and attended High Shoal Baptist Church. She loved to travel and enjoyed quilting, and arranging artificial flowers.
Survivors include two sons, Perry Mashburn and wife, Susan of Columbus, NC and Michael "Slick" Mashburn of Kings Mountain; sister, Shirley Denny of Henrietta. She is also survived by five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2014 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend John Godfrey, Reverend Keith Walker and Reverend Sam Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
