Blacksburg - Ms. Rhonda Gayle Childers, age 70, of Blacksburg, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Born November 21, 1954, in Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late Basil Franklin Childers and Alma Sue Fowler Childers. She was a graduate of the Blacksburg High School Class of 1973. Ms. Childers was a devoted member of Hopewell Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Jason White of Blacksburg; her sister, Becky Varner of Blacksburg and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Barry Childers.

Visitation for Rhonda will be Friday, August 22, 2025 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 pm at the Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Mr. Shane Childers officiating.
