Robert Luther Wilson

Robert Luther Wilson born May 10, 1952, to the late Robert J. Wilson and Dorothy Long Wilson in Royster Memorial Hospital-Boiling Springs, NC.

God chose to take him home on May 14, 2024, at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Richmond, CA.
Robert received his early years of education through Green Bethel School and graduated from Crest Senior High "Class of 1970." He was a Junior Policeman with the Boiling Springs Junior Police Program.
Robert Luther served our country as a Recruitment Officer in the United States Marine Corps for fourteen years. After his military service he worked as a Window (Skyscraper) Handler until retirement.
Robert joined Green Bethel Baptist Church at an early age. Under the tutelage of Pastor John Ojewolw, he became a member of Agape International Church and Ministries-Antioch, CA where he was actively involved as a Trustee. He volunteered faithfully with the Food/Homeless ministry which he loved being a part of in his community and surrounding area.
Family members preceding him death are his father-Robert J. Wilson;paternal grandparents,Starling and Macy Hopper Wilson;maternal grandparents,Luther and Minnie Lattimore Long;Brothers Charles and Donald;Sisters Juanita Wilson, Wanda Wilson, Dorothy Jenois Wilson. In-laws Robert and Willette Moore;Brothers-in-laws Robert Lewis Moore, Randy Moore.
Left to cherish those sweet memories forever are his mother Dorothy L. Wilson, Sons, Kevin (Charlette) Moore, Kenneth Moore, and Terry Phillips. John "Tony" Smith. Daughters, Quianisha (Qiana) Payne. Grandchildren Dominque (Monique) Moore, John "Tony" Smith, Kieona Stevenson, Jade Kelley, Delani Matthews and Quincy Williams. Great Grandchildren Amiyah Smith and NiAri Moore. Brothers Jeffery Wilson and Sisters Emma Baccus, Sharon Wilson, and Barbara (Christopher "Tee" Little. In-laws Angela and John Downs.
Special Friends since childhood days: Margaret Edwards Freeman, John Greasy) McCluney and Terry (Beatrice) Phillips as well as many family members and friends.
His loving nurturing caregiver: Fiancé Deloris Ford.
Funeral services will be Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Green Bethel Baptist Church, 120 Bethel Avenue, Boiling Springs, NC at 2:30 p.m. The reception of family and friends will be from 2 until 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
