Ruby Inez Shuford Huss, 83 of 3904 Huss Road, Vale, NC, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

She was born on November 18, 1930, in Lincoln County, to the late Loy Shuford and Minnie Leonard Shuford.  She retired from Ellis Hosiery Mill and was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church.     

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Huss; grandson, Ronald Wallace, Jr.; and five sisters, Virginia Christopher, Frankie Compton, Eva Christopher, Lillian Thomason and Peggy Shuford.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Foy Robert Huss; two sons, Gary Huss and Randy Huss and wife, Libby all of Vale; two daughter, Gail Huss Poteat and husband, Tony of Newton and Peggy Huss Wallace and husband, Ronald of Hickory; five grandchildren, Aaron Poteat, Jason Poteat, Darren Wallace, Amanda Huss and Kyle Huss; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Friday at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston

Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Vale

Burial will follow in the church cemetery
