| Mrs. Ruth Mellon, 76, of Shelby, NC passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2011. Services were held at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel. Burial was held in Cleveland Memorial Park.
Mrs. Mellon was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus Mellon and Evelyn Tesseneer Mellon; two sisters, Margaret Tesseneer & Faye Albea.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, W. F. “Willie” Mellon of the home; a daughter, Terry M. Dixon and husband Don of Shelby; one grandson; brother, Ralph Mellon and wife Doris of Shelby; sisters, Verl Cash and special friend Ralph Sain of Shelby; Dot Hunt and husband Clyde of Morganton and a number of nieces and nephews.
