Mrs. Sarah C. Biggerstaff, 86, of Fair Haven Rest Home and formerly of Shelby, NC, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2010. Services were held at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel. Burial followed in Cleveland Memorial Park.
Mrs. Biggerstaff was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Oras Biggerstaff; her parents, Frank E. Cantrell, Sr. and Eula M. Cantrell; 1 son, William T. “Bill” Biggerstaff; 3 brothers, J.Y. Cantrell, Jack Cantrell and Harley Cantrell; and 1 great-grandchild.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Jane Hamrick and husband Max of Boiling Springs, NC and Carolyn Chambers and husband Virgil of Ottawa, Kansas; 1 daughter-in-law, Gigi Biggerstaff of Lancaster, SC; 2 sisters-in-law, Janet Cantrell of Stokesdale, and Mildred Camp of Ellenboro; 7 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
