Sheila Gregory Wilson, 51, of Gastonia, NC, passed away peacefully at home on October 19, 2024.

She was a devoted wife to Stephen Wilson, with whom she shared a joyful 11 years of marriage (13 years together) and a vision of building a legacy for their daughters, Ashley Coates (Travis) and Emily Gregory. Sheila played a significant role in raising her beloved granddaughter, Mackenzie Fields, with whom she shared a deep and loving bond.

Sheila is survived by her husband Stephen Wilson, daughters Emily and Ashley, granddaughter Mackenzie, sister Sharon Wells (Brian), brother Harold Kirkland (Mary), and her treasured nieces and nephew: Amber Gregory, Nikki Eudy, and Jacob Eudy (Destiny). She also leaves behind her grandnieces and grandnephews: Alyssa, Mark Jr., Emma, Layla, and Emmett.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mabel Strange, her father, Sidney "Doc" Gregory, and her grandmother, Emma Gregory.

Throughout her life, Sheila found immense joy in spending time with family, cooking out, watching movies, and enjoying music. She also found peace in the mountains and had an unwavering love for her dogs, who provided her with companionship and happiness. Her adventurous spirit and ability to bring smiles to those around her were gifts that will be sorely missed.

A celebration of Sheila's life will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 12 Noon at The Branch Church, 420 Branch St., Kings Mountain, NC 28086. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The American Cancer Society at www.donate.cancer.org or to a local animal shelter of your choosing. Sheila will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
