Shirley Jean Philbeck, 80, of 103-1 Watterson Rd, passed away on Wednesday, December 13th, 2023, at White Oak Manor of Kings Mountain.

Born in Gaffney, SC, she was the widow of Ray Lee Philbeck and the daughter of the late Calvin and Oveta Bell Bolin. Shirley formerly worked in textiles and was a member of Allen Memorial Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Philbeck are a daughter, Kathy Blanton (Tony), a brother, William Bolin, a sister, Ann Goode, two grandchildren, Edward Cogdell and Timmy Philbeck, and a great-grandson, Ethan Herron.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Philbeck was preceded in death by a daughter, Audrey Gwen Philbeck, a grandson, Donnie Wayne Philbeck, two brothers, Ancil and H.K. Bolin, and a sister, Leatha Bolin Halkins.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 15, 2023, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Allen Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Reese English officiating. Interment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at the home of Kathy and Tony Blanton, 150 Sims Rd, Blacksburg.
