Steven Alexander Randall, age 56 died Wednesday October 9, 2013 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. Born on April 16, 1957 in Cleveland County he was the son of the late William “Bill” Alexander and Emma Jo Wilson Randall. Steve was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church and was the owner / operator of Carolina Timber Resources LLC. He never met a stranger and was a very generous person. All that knew him respected his opinion and expertise with any need they might have, whether it be related to logging lumber, tractors, trucks or auto mechanics.  He was the greatest husband, dad, pawpaw and friend that anyone could ask for.  In his spare time, Steve enjoyed drag racing. In addition to his parents, Steve is preceded in death, by an infant daughter, Alexandria Michelle Randall; and an uncle, Dick Randall.

Steve is survived by his wife of 26 years, Frances Spake Randall; a son, Joey Randall and wife Stephanie of Shelby; two step sons, Ricky Morgan of Blacksburg SC and Terry Morgan of Shelby; a sister, Amanda “Rie” Lowery and husband Tommy of Shelby; and four grandchildren, Bradley Morgan, Nick Greene, Bethany Morgan, and Brayden Morgan.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday October 12, 2013 at 2:00pm at Pine Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Allen and Mr. Eddie Greene officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00pm until 9:00pm on Friday October 11, 2013 at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory and other times the family will be at the home of Joey and Stephanie Randall, which is the old Randall home place, 805 Mt. Sinai Church Road, Shelby NC.
