Tommy Eugene Ligon, 75, of 369 Jumping Branch Road, passed away on Sunday, March 10th, 2024, at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, SC, he was the husband of Donna Pennington Ligon and the son of the late Arthur Eugene and Esmer Anise Bullocks Ligon. Tommy formerly worked as a welder and was a member of New Harvest Church of God.

In addition to his wife, surviving Mr. Ligon are three daughters, Michelle Haggard (Robbie), Angela Pursell, and Valerie McCluney (Justin); two sisters, Maybelle Wright (David) and Patricia Greene; seven grandchildren, Bradley Pursell (Jade), Anna Black (Charlie), Jason Haggard, Jacob Haggard (Mari), Andrew McCluney, Ashton McCluney, and Grace McCluney; four great-grandchildren, Nellie Pursell, Navie Pursell, Maverick Black, and Charlee Haggard; and a special nephew, Ridge Gentry.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Ligon was preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua McCluney, and his sisters, Elizabeth Gentry, Brenda Clark, and Doris Phillips.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 15th, 2024, from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm at New Harvest Church of God,120 Boiling Springs Highway, Gaffney, SC. Funeral services will immediately follow at 4:00 pm with Rev. Robert Wells and Rev. Phillip Smith officiating. Interment will be private. Bradley Pursell, Jason Haggard, Jacob Haggard, Andrew McCluney, Ashton McCluney, Charlee Black, and Ridge Gentry will serve as pallbearers.
