Violet L. Radford, 91, of 457 Moonlight Lane, passed away on Thursday, November 23rd, 2023, at White Oak Manor of Shelby.

Born in Rutherfordton, NC, she was the daughter of John M. and Birtie Hogan Radford. She loved her flower garden.

Surviving Ms. Radford are her daughters, Linda Norman (Mark) and Doris Kirby (Garry), both of Blacksburg, Julia Upchurch (Miles) of Gaffney, and Sheila Herman (Steve) of Catawba, NC; her sons, Aven Pittman (Connie) of Spartanburg, Torran Pittman (Diane) of Bostic, NC, and Marty West (Angela) of Forest City, NC; two sisters, Geneva Keever (Claude) of Rutherfordton, NC, and Joy Lawrence (Joe) of Boiling Springs, SC; 20 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Radford was preceded in death by her siblings, Wade, Aden, Memory, John Radford, Jr., Nora Gossnel, Lola Harvey, and Irene Henson, one grandchild, Jason Pittman, and one great-grandchild, Jeremiah Date.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

The family will be at their respective homes.
