William Albert Keener Jr., 58, of 31 Republic Street, passed away on Wednesday, November 6th, 2024, at MUSC Health Lancaster Medical Center.

Born in York, SC, he was the husband of Evelyn Howell Keener and the son of William Albert Keener Sr. (Linda) and the late Joyce Airington (Albert). William formerly worked in construction and was a member of Fort Lawn Baptist Church.

Surviving Mr. Keener are his wife, Evelyn Howell Keener; his father, William Albert Keener Sr (Linda); his children, William Albert Keener III (Marie), Brittany Michelle Keener, Melissa Breanna Ruppe (Kurt), and Chucky James Elmore (Samantha); his step-father, Albert Airington; his sisters, Marsha Floyd (Timmy) and Becky Keener; his brothers, John T. Keener (Denise), Scotty Airington (Jennifer), David Airington (Kimmie), and Rodney Airington (Evelyn); 15 grandchildren, Isaiah, Andy, Angel, Katty, Bubbie, Jakell, Jonathan, Makiyah, William, Lukas, Chey, Aria, Adalynn, Greyson, Lulu; 6 great-grandchildren, and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Keener was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Bernice Threatt, and his paternal grandparents, Joe and Letha Keener.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 3:00 pm at Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery, 1613 McGill Highway, Smyrna, SC with Rev. Kenneth Rabon officiating.

The family will be at the residence at 5343 Old Branch Road, Fort Lawn, SC 29714.
