Bill Blanton, 91, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on December 07, 2019 at his home. He was born in Cherokee County, SC, to the late Lester Blanton and Omie Williams Blanton and was preceded in death by a son, Steve Blanton and a grandson Robert Blanton. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, James, Marvin and Victor Blanton, sisters, Margie Hutchins and Louise Blanton and two infant siblings, Virgie and Berty Blanton. Bill was a member of El Bethel UMC and attended Kings Mountain Baptist Church for many years. He retired from the Sadie Mill and from Kings Mountain Baptist, where he served as the custodian for more than 50 years. Bill was a collector of everything. He enjoyed going to auctions and collecting his "treasures". Bill was a people person and enjoyed spending time with his friends and loving family. He will be missed dearly by everyone who knew and loved him.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 2:00 PM at El Bethel UMC Cemetery with Pastor Tim Whitesides officiating

VISITATION: Tuesday, December 10, 2019 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home

INTERMENT: El Bethel UMC Cemetery
