Wynn Childers, 69, of 738 McDaniel Road, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 26th, 2024.

Born in Kings Mountain, NC, he was the husband of Della Fortenberry Childers and the son of the late Sherman Childers and Peggy Arthurs Yarbrough. Wynn was a member of Mt. Whitaker Baptist. He loved the Lord and servedhim by helping out in his church, in which he held many positions.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Childers is survived by his daughters; LaShea Brakefield (Dusty), Nikki Childers O''''Dell (Jason), Brittany Childers (James Wilson) and Adrian Childers, brothers; Bruce Childers, Steve Childers, Wyman Childers, Bill Childers, and Chris Childers, a sister; Wynona Phillips; grandchildren, Claire, Gabby, and Thomas; family friend like a daughter; Summer Bassett.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Childers was preceded in death by his siblings; Rodney Childers, Marion "Tricky" Black and Donnie Arthurs.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Mt. Whitaker Baptist Church. Memorial services will immediately follow, at 3:00 pm with Pastor Michael Owen Officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Whitaker Baptist Church, PO Box 17, Blacksburg SC, 29702.

The family will be at their respective homes.
