Abbey Nicole Lesmeister, 25, died Thursday, November 30, 2023.

Born in Illinois, she is the daughter of Wally Lesmeister of Shelby and Betty Storm Lesmeister of Visalia, CA. Abbey was a 2017 Crest High School graduate. While in high school and at the age of 16, Abbey starting working at Food Lion, where she was able to assume leadership roles. In 2022, she graduated from Eastern Carolina University and started her career with Endeavor Airlines as a Flight Attendant. Abbey enjoyed helping others in life, including the homeless. She was an avid Chicago Bears fan. In addition to her parents, Abbey is survived by her twin brother, Austin Lesmeister of Leland, NC; sisters, Alyssa Lesmeister and Brittany Rabb and husband Tyler, both of Shelby; grandmother, Beverly Lesmeister of Las Vegas; her K-9 companion, Zola; and many other extended family. The family will receive friends 5:00-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 5^th, 2023 at Bethel Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 6^th, 2023 at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Tim Sims officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
