Alice Lynn Whisnant Willis, age 73, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby, NC.

Born in Cleveland County on October 13, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Ivey Whisnant and Veva C. Spangler Falls. Alice was a life-long member of Polkville Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Steven Bell, and siblings Charles "Bud" Whisnant and Eddie Whisnant.

Alice is survived by her son, Scott Willis (Jill), sister Libby Hughes, and grandchildren; Matthew and Katherine. She also leaves behind her cherished cat, Phoebe.

A memorial service to celebrate Alice's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Polkville Methodist Church, with honors from the Atrium Health Nurses Honor Guard. Following the service, interment will take place at the church cemetery.
