Allan Milton Black

Allan Milton Black, 74, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Atrium Health - Cleveland.

Allan was born on October 17, 1947 in Gaston County, NC a son of the late William Howard "Will" Black and Elena Belle Haynes Black. He was owner of F.A.C.T. Builders in Cherryville. Allan was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Cherryville and also attended the Outdoor Blessings Sunday school class at The Great Outdoors. He was also a member of Cherryville Masonic Lodge # 505 A.F. & A.M. Allan was a loving family man who enjoyed trout fishing, hunting and was an avid Rook player.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Black; two brothers-in-law, Glenn Angel and Jack Scism.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Becky Beam Black of the home; a son Jason Black (Julie); a daughter, Dana Sturgill (Allen); a brother, Doug Black (Rita) all of Cherryville; four sisters, Ann Pfeifer of Cherryville; Betty Sue Scism, Margie Angel both of Waco and Debbie Rainwater (Doug) of Cherryville; a sister-in-law, Inez Black of Salisbury; seven grandchildren, Logan, Leah, Josie, Jeb, Luann, Lawson and Anita; one great granddaughter, Elena. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 12:30PM to 2:45PM on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Cherryville and at other times the family will be at the home.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Keith Huss officiating.

Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites.

Memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 112 Mt. Zion Church Road, Cherryville, NC 28021.
