Anthony Bryon Mauney, 61, of Shelby, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026. He was the son of the late William Ralph Mauney and Linda Ann Hartman.

Bryon enjoyed tinkering with small engines like his lawnmowers and weedeaters. He loved working on and rebuilding old trucks. Bryon enjoyed shooting guns and hunting. Over the last two years, he had found a new joy and blessing as his favorite pastime. He loved spending time with his grandbaby, Madi.

He is survived by his wife, Tina Mauney; daughter, Anna Beasley; son, Casey Mauney and wife Haley; step-parents, Bob Hartman, and Deborah Mauney; brother, Jason Hartman and fiance Donna Johnson; sister, Jean Horne and husband Scott; special aunt, Christa Jewell and husband Chris; nieces, Caroline Hartman, and Kaitlyn Piper; nephews, Raymond Piper, Nathen Piper, Chase Hartman, David Judy, Wesley Piper, Matthew Judy, and Austin Piper; special friend, Leanne Jolley; and special granddaughter, Madilyn Mauney.


The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 5:30 pm at Bethel Baptist church followed by a memorial service beginning at 6:30 PM with Dr. Tim Simms officiating.
