Antonio James Barnes departed this life on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Atrium Health- Cleveland in Shelby, NC. He was born in Cleveland County, NC on October 29, 1979 to Barbara Barnes and Howard Smith.

He was preceded in deathby his maternal grandmother, Edith Barnes; three aunts and two uncles.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Barnes; his father, Howard Smith both of Shelby; his siblings, Tyrone Barnes of Shelby, Dytrisha Ellis of Gastonia, NC, Howard Smith, Jr. (Kourtney) of Lawndale, NC, LaShonda Smith of SC, Chris Smith of Boiling Springs, NC, Melissa Smith of Shelby and Quan Smith of MA and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at 3:30 PM at S. T. Enloe Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 3:30 PM at the chapel. Condolences can be expressed online at www.enloemortuary.com. Enloe Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
