Audrey Conrad Ballard, age 88, of Bessemer City, passed away Friday, June 2, 2023 at White Oak Manor of Kings Mountain.

She was born July 17, 1934 in Gaston County to the late John Frank Conrad and the late Lessie Bell Conrad Wiggins.

Audrey was a charter member of Holland Memorial Baptist Church where she held many capacities including church treasurer for 33 years, Sunday School teacher, singing in the choir, Missions, and WMU. She was a nurse's aide with the North Carolina OrthopedicHospital for more than eight years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hurley Howard Ballard; sister, Mildred Croft; stepfather, Walter J. Wiggins; half-sister, Susan Wiggins Putnam; brothers-in-law, Charles Putman, Chuck Ballard (Lois), and Thomas Ballard.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Charlene and John Walls; grandchildren, Michael Walls, Jamie Lee Walls and wife, Kristen; great-grandchildren, Somer Nichole Walls, Jamie Lee Walls, Jr., Taylor Lee Walls; great-great-grandson, Aedan Lee Walls; brother-in-law, Marshall Croft; sister-in-law, Doreen Ross Ballard.

Her family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Monday, June 5, 2023 at Sisk-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Dale and former Pastor Joel Rogers officiating.

Interment will follow at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.
