Betty Ann Beam Howell

Betty Ann Beam Howell, 68, of Barbee Road, Shelby, went to her heavenly home on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Carolina Caring Sherrills Ford Hospice House.

Born in Cleveland County, on August 29, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Broadus Elam Beam and Ezma Pearl Grigg Beam. She was a homemaker first and foremost by was also an interior designer. She taught a community bible study at Bethel Baptist Church for many years.

Betty had a unique out look on life wanting to be a homemaker like June Cleaver, but also having fun as prankster from I Love Lucy. She loved animals of all kinds.

She is survived by her husband of forty-eight years, Gary Wayne Howell; son, Josh Howell and wife Kim of Lynden, Washington; a brother Mike Beam and wife Patty of Lawndale; seven grandchildren, Oak Howell, Harvest Howell, Psalm Howell, Fields Howell, Keleigh Houston, Ashlea Houston, and Bailey Houston; special friends Kenny and Patricia Houston and numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty was a dedicated wife to her husband, mother to her son, Nana & Mimi to her grandchildren and friend to all. Her strong faith in God sustained her through her lengthy battle with cancer.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at 2:00 PM in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. Timothy Hendrick and Rev Mike McGee officiating.

The entombment will follow the service in the Rose Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum.
