Betty Glenn Goodson of Shelby, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Hospice at Wendover in Shelby.

Born in Cleveland County, NC she was the daughter of the late Zaye Morrison Bridges and Bertie Lee Hamrick Bridges. Betty was retired from the Cleveland County Boys Clubs and Emmanuel Baptist University. She was a member of Christian Freedom Baptist Church in Kings Mountain.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Goodson; Bill Glenn father of their two daughters; four brothers, Bobby Bridges, Ted Bridges, Ricky Bridges and Max Bridges and a sister, Beverly Gail Bridges.

Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Martin and husband, Dale of Marion and Lisa Clardy of Shelby; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Elizabeth Jones of Charlotte and Wanda Carpenter of Shelby.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 21, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024 at 11:00 am at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Owens officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Rose Hill Memorial Park.
