Betty Jo Peterson Leonhardt, 88, of Vale, passed away on Wednesday, August 7th at her home with her family by her side.

Betty a native of Mitchell County, North Carolina, was born on July 9th, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Dave and Cora Peterson. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her her husband of 30 plus years, Arnold Leonhardt, her brother, Galen Peterson and her sister, Rachel Peterson.

Left to cherish the memory of this loving woman is her daughter, Benita Huff and her husband, Eddie; two grandchildren, Brett Huff and his wife Taylor, and Erin Young, and her husband, Cole.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 11th, 2024 at 3:00 pm at Rose Hill Memorial Park 342 Jim Cline Road Fallston, NC 28042 with the Rev. Jeremy Mahaffey, officiating
