Billy Ray Wright, 67, of Ridings Road, Shelby, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.

Born in Cleveland County, on November 15, 1956, he was a son of the late Marvin Hugh Wright and Violet Self Wright. He was retired form Servo-South and was a member of Zion Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Worth Wright.

He is survived by his son, Bobby Wright and wife, Ann of Gaffney, SC; two daughters, Leslie Wright of Gaffney, SC and Kasey Wright of Spindale; two brothers, Hubert Wright and wife, Carolyn of Fallston and Douglas Wright and wife, Ann of Shelby; four sisters, Sally Ann Hubbard of Shelby, Patsy Webber and husband, Mike of Shelby, Connie Ayers of Shelby and Shirley Drewery of Polkville; four grandchildren, Blake, Kaiden, Samaria and MaKiya.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Zion Baptist Church. At other times the family will be at the respectful homes.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 2:00pm at Zion Baptist Church with Dr. Jim McConnell officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
