Brandon Rhoshod Ross

Brandon Rhoshod Ross was born June 21, 1990, and said goodbye to the world on March 9, 2025.

Brandon was a devoted family man and die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering dedication. No matter the occasion, Brandon always showed up for his family, embodying reliability and support in every way. He was known as an undercover handyman, if you called him with a problem, he would find a way to fix it with no questions asked.

Brandon's infectious smile was ever-present, a reflection of his positive spirit and determination. No matter what the night before held, he showed up to work the next day, ready to take on the world. He had a deep love for music and believed in making the most of every moment. When Brandon was around, you knew a good time was guaranteed. His presence brought joy and dependability to all who knew him, and his memory will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of calling him family and a friend.

Throughout life, Brandon embraced spirituality, adventure, travel and knowledge. His thirst for new experiences allowed him to appreciate the beauty and diversity of the world. In addition to his love for knowledge, Brandon cultivated various hobbies such as playing pool, bowling, hiking, and shared his knowledge about nutrition.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Linda McClinton Ross, paternal grandfather, James Earl Lander, Sr. and uncle, Aaron Shufford.

He leaves behind cherished memories to his parents, Rhonda Ross Robinson (LaTroy) of Charlotte, NC and Allison Lander (Jacqueline) of Bessemer City, NC; a daughter, Sophia Ross; brothers, Jervonte Degree of Shelby and Alvin Phelps of Lincolnton, NC; maternal grandparents, John Ross and Annette Ross; paternal grandmother, Annie Mae Lander; aunts, Regina Ross, Adrian Johnson (Lamont),Sandra Landers Awomodu (Adebolu), and Tnisha Shufford-Gregory (Terrell); uncles, Corry Ross, Dimerio Ross, James Earl Lander, Jr., Stefan Shufford and Ryan Shufford; special cousins, Aniger Ross, LaToya Ross, Ayanah Johnson, Amiri Johnson and Trevor Ross and a host of other relatives and friends.


Brandon's departure leaves a void that can't be filled. However, his memory will live on through the love he shared and the impact he made on everyone he met. May his soul find eternal peace and his loved ones find solace in the beautiful memories they shared with him.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, Sunday, March 16, 2025 at 2:00 PM at As It Is Ministries, 1511 E. Ozark Ave. Gastonia, NC. Enloe Mortuary was in charge of the services.
