Brenda Jo Black Lattimore, 68, of Shelby, NC departed this life Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Willow Ridge Nursing Center in Rutherfordton, NC. She was born on June 16, 1953 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Badge Lee Chapman and Cola Black Chapman.

Brenda was employed with Jackson's Cafeteria for many years until their closing. She loved to dance and loved doing her puzzle books.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Dewayne Lattimore.

She leaves to cherish her memory to her son, Tavarus Keon Lattimore (Monica Jefferies); two special aunts, Shirley Mae Banks (Charles) and Marilyn Washington (Gary); a special friend, Charles Marable; and a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other aunts, uncles and friends.

The funeral service for Ms. Lattimore will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 3:30 PM at Good Samaritan Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 3:30 PM at the church and other times at 512 Northern St. Shelby. Burial will take place at Sunset Cemetery.
