Ms. Brenda Marlene Barber, age 67, of Charlotte, NC, died on September 15, 2025, at Atrium Cabarrus in Concord, NC. She was born on September 15, 1958 in Rochester, NY, to the late Lee Ella Curry Barber.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Fate and Rossie Curry; uncles, Henry, Clinzo, Fate Jr., and Jerry Curry; aunts, Bernice Thompson and Ola Coleman.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories to her daughters, Tarchia Barber of Charlotte, NC and Prophetess Latonya Jackson of Jonesboro, GA; two grandchildren, Kaleab Ross and Demonica Wright, both of Charlotte, NC; two brothers, Jessie Hughes of Grover, NC and Terry Hughes of Chester, PA; sister, Priscilla Jimson of Kings Mountain, NC; two nieces, Sunjai Melton (Jeffery) and Donna Hughes; nephew, Gary Hughes (Bathsheba); God daughter, Gracie Curry; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday, September 21, 2025 at Shiloh AME Zion Church, Grover, NC.
