Bruce Camp's Local Fishing Report May 19th edition
PPG Bass Club
The PPG bass club fished Lake Hickory last week. Ronnie Black and Roger Marshall took the win with 14.2 and they also had big bass of the event with a 5.0 largemouth. Evan Edwards and John Brown had 10.0 and took second, with third going to Ernie Pilkin and Wayne Turner with 8.2.
KOSA
The Kosa retirees fished Lake Wylie last week and Tony Black and Ned Blanton picked up the win. The pair had 11.45 and just edged out Larry Melton and George Crosswhite, who had 11.15. Mack Wyatt and Johnny Christianberry brought in 10.75 and took third. Big fish was a 3.15 largemouth brought in by the winning team of Black and Blanton. This week it is back to Lake Norman.
MOSS
The weekly Thursday night bass tournament saw 21 boats come out and cast away for the first place prize. Matt Arey and Les Dulin took the win with 8.74. Arnold Ledford and (Mr. out of retirement) Steve Gordon took second with 7.15. Charles Kanike and Mavrick took third with 6.60 and close behind was the father/son team of Brian and Cody Hoyle with 6.15. Jimmy Weaver and Randy Moss had 6.10 and rounded out the top five. Big fish was a 5.20 brought in by Kanike and Mavrick.
