Carol Hambright Price, 69, formerly of 142 Rock House Road, passed away on Saturday, October 7th, 2023, at her son's home.

Born in Gaffney, SC, she was the widow of James Stephen "Steve" Price and the daughter of the late Samuel Anderson Hambright Sr. and Elizabeth Nolen Hambright. Carol worked in the blood bank of Cleveland Regional Medical Center for 40 years. She also loved being with her family. She attended Mt. Paran Baptist Church, where her son is the pastor, and was able to live the last part of her life with her son and his family.

Surviving Mrs. Price are one son, Nathan Price, and wife, Elizabeth, of the home; two sisters, Lynn Hambright Davis (Roney) of Shelby and Karen Moss of Blacksburg; four grandchildren, Raleigh, Anderson, Connor, and Caroline Price; and six nieces and nephews, Sharon Barrett (Matt) of Sauk City, WI, Samuel Anderson Hambright III (Stephanie) of Blacksburg, Marty Davis (Sherry) of Fallston, NC, Jennifer Lynn Davis of Shelby, Amy Moss Carter of Boiling Springs, SC, and Suzanna Conger (Josh) of Jonesboro, AR.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Price was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Anderson Hambright Jr.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 9th, 2023, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 10th, 2023, at 3:00 pm in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Nathan Price and Rev. Vernon Craig officiating.

The family will be at their respective homes.
