Carolyn Lawson, age 78, of Ellenboro, passed away Monday, January 30, 2023 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.
Carolyn was born Tuesday, January 2, 1945 in Rutherford County to the late Bunion D. Hensley and Queen Ester Mace Hensley. She worked in textiles and then for PPG for many years. Carolyn was a member of Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church and loved gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy D. England; sisters, Barbara Bridges and Bardee Champion and brothers, J.D. and Jack Hensley.
Those left to cherish fond memories include her husband of forty-eight years, Charles Lawson; son, Terry England (LeAnne) of Boiling Springs, NC and a daughter, Janice England of Ellenboro; grandson, Rusty England (Shelby) of Mill Spring and three great-granddaughters, Kylee Marie England, Iris Rayne England and Magnolia Rayne England.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 3rd at Pleasant View Community Church with Reverend Phillip Duncan and Reverend Chad Sisk officiating. Interment will follow at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 2nd at Pleasant View Community Church.
