Mrs. Cathleen Roseboro Smith, 83, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. She was born on May 25, 1942, in Cleveland County, NC, to the late King Roseboro and the late Ellen Kennedy Roseboro.

Cathleen was a member of First Baptist Church of Earl where she sang on the choir and served as a Deaconess until her health declined. She loved to cook and the family loved her cooking. Cathleen worked in the textile industry for many years until she retired. What Cathleen loved most was being around her family, especially her grand children and her great grandchildren.

Cathleen was preceded in death by her father, King Roseboro and mother, Ellen Roseboro; sister, Beatrice Hamilton; brother, Charles Roseboro; and great granddaughter, Jayona Smith.

Left to cherish precious memories are her husband of 64 years, Gary Smith; children, Terry Smith of the home, Danny Wang Smith and Johnnie K. Smith both of Shelby, NC, Kelvin Smith (Annette) of Gaffney , SC, and Clarence Smith (Candice) of Gastonia, N.C.; siblings, Mary Burris, Bobby Roseboro, Robert Roseboro (Linda), Cora Roseboro, Harvey Roseboro, Barbara Bell (Thomas), and Rev. Larry Roseboro; special cousin, James Roseboro; special friends, Ellen Adams and Helen Ford; grandchildren, LaQuanda Huskey (Leon), Jonika Parrott (Donte), Tyrone, Amy, Terrill, Antwan, Teyon, Jasmine, Kededra, Tereka, Mya; twenty-nine great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews , cousins, in-laws, friends and special care taker "J.J" Ruff Brown.

Funeral services were held on Friday, June 27, 2025 at Ellis Chapel Baptist Church. Enloe Mortuary was in charge of the services.
