Charles Ronald Shaffer, 85, of Beam Street, Fallston, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at Atrium Health - Cleveland, Shelby.

Born in Kirksville, Ohio, on March 3, 1939, he was a son of the late Raymond Shaffer and Thelma Irene Fellows Shaffer. He was retired from Shoffners Trusses of Dallas and also served in the US Army in the 82nd Airborne.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his three brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-five years Mary Paxton Shaffer, five sons, Robbie Shaffer and wife Jina, Mike Shaffer and wife Sandy, David Shaffer all of Fallston, Ronald Shaffer and fiancée, Gina Willis of Belwood, and Richie Shaffer and wife Becky of Maiden; twelve grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 3:00 pm in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Toby LeRoy officiating.

The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
