Christopher Micheal Bridges, 65, of Shelby, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at Atrium Health - Main, Charlotte.

Born in Cleveland County, on June 5, 1958, he was a son of the late Dixon Mills Bridges, Sr. and Sylvia Rippy Bridges. Chris began his working career at Overnight Transportation as a diesel mechanic and then retired from the NC DOT Division 12 as a traffic control technician. He was a former member of the Shelby Amateur Radio Club. After his retirement he enjoyed listening to music, working on computers, and hot rods.

He is survived by two sons, Brandon Bridges of Shelby and Cameron Bridges and wife Kristy of Concord; grandson, Camden; brother, Dixon Bridges, Jr. of Shelby; sister, Sherry Spencer and husband Joel of Yulee, FL; niece Mandy Rau; stepmother, Polly Dixon of Casar; and numerous other loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 31, 2023, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Drury Dobbins Baptist Tabernacle.

A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at 4:00 pm at Drury Dobbins Baptist Tabernacle with Pastor Ronald Roberts officiating.
