Clyde Robert Hunt, 87, passed away on December 26, 2025 at Magnolia Lane Nursing and Rehab in Morganton, North Carolina.

Clyde was born on December 29, 1937 in Casar, NC to parents John and Sarah Cook Hunt. In addition to him parents Clyde was also preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, his son, Robert Hunt, and his brother, Ralph Hunt. Clyde was employed as a sweeper at Ester Textile Mill where he worked most of his life. Clyde was a member of Carswell Memorial Baptist Church.

Left to cherish Clyde's memory is his daughter, Robin Carswell, (Dean); two brothers, J.W. Hunt,(Mima), Ophis Hunt, (Millie); two sisters, Ruth Ann Bowman, (Pearly) and Shirley Nally,(Wyman); four grandchildren, Jake Hunt,( Lacey), Nathan Carswell, (Melody), Nicole Hodges, (Devin), and Chase Carswell and four great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 2:00 pm in Carswell Memorial Baptist Church, with the Rev. Issac Post officiating. Internment will follow immediately in the church cemetery. The family of Clyde will receive friends from 1:00 pm -1:45 pm prior to the service at the church.
