Connie Cabaniss Willis, 66, passed away Friday, June 16, 2023 at Hospice Wendover House in Shelby, NC.

Born in Cleveland County on July 28, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Joe Turner Cabaniss, Jr. and Mableen Self Cabaniss. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her niece, Emily Merrill.

Conni is survived by her husband of 44 years, Dale Edwin Willis and their children, Jacob Willis, and Jennifer Gillen husband Austin. Also left to cherish her memory are her two sisters, Kathy Cabaniss, Crystal Weathers husband Wayne and brother Chris Cabaniss wife Ann, as well six nephews and one niece.

The family would like to extend a special thank you for the love and support of Conni's friends and caretakers.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Monday June 19, 2023 in the sanctuary of Elizabeth Baptist Church with Rev. Rit Varriale offering words of encouragement for those in attendance. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
