Mrs. Connie Ruth Carpenter Harrison, 83, of Shelby, NC, died Thursday, August 17, 2023, at Brookdale Assisted Living in Forest City, NC. She was the daughter of the late John Francis Carpenter and Ruth Philbeck Carpenter.

She had a love for all animals, including her pet flying squirrel, a tarantula, and a parrot that could bark like her dogs. She was well known and loved by the community where she spent many years grooming dogs. She enjoyed her sports cars and viewing the scenery while traveling through the mountains. She was a kid at heart and appreciated the simple things of life.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Eli Harrison of Shelby, NC.

To honor the life of Mrs. Connie Harrison a graveside service will be held at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, Monday, August 21st, in the cemetery of Rosehill Memorial Park. Rev. Richard Stroup will offer words of encouragement for those in attendance.
