Daniel "Dan" Gold

Daniel "Dan" Gold, 64, died Monday, January 29th, 2024 peacefully surrounded by his family at Wendover Hospice of Shelby.

Dan is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Tamara Pachuta Gold of the home; son, Seth Gold (Ashley Wooten); daughter, Shaina Gold (Elliot Saatzer); sisters Mary C. Ramos (Tim McKendrick) and Loretta Ramos; brothers, George Ramos (Kathy) and Jeffrey Ramos (Nicole), niece, Hannah Ramos and several other nieces and nephews. Dan was also survived by lifelong friend Danny Matthews and many other cherished friends. Dan was the son of the late Susan O'Donnell. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Gertrude Gold; sister in law, Polly Daubenspeck and nephew, Kristopher Daubenspeck.

Dan was known for his devotion to his family and those he loved, along with the Buffalo Bills, sunny days at the beach, and a good country concert. His quick wit and easy going demeanor will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He served his country honorably in the Navy for five years, and worked in the metal industry for almost 40 years ending with the role of supervisor at IMC Metals America LLC. Memorials can be made in his name to Hospice of Cleveland County or Carolina Basset Hound Rescue in memory of Pudge and honor of Buster. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
