Mrs. Darlene J. Morgan, 69, of 351 Roseborough Road, Grover, NC, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at her residence.

She was born in Cherokee County, SC, to the late Willie Lee and Nora Bell Davis Jefferies.
Darlene was a 1975 graduate of Crest High School. She was a former employee of Cone Mills and Lowe's. She retired from K-Mart. She was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church where she served as a member of the Adult Missionary Circle. She enjoyed eating and attending church. She always wore a smile, always kind, and had a calm spirit, even during her declining health. Darlene was the sweetest woman, greeting you with a loving hug. She exemplified the epitome of a virtuous woman.
She is preceded in death by siblings, Nelson Davis and Barbara Ann Doggett; and sister in law, Charlene Morgan.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Winfred Morgan; children, Melissa Gist and Andrew Morgan, both of Shelby, NC, Tariece Morgan (Ashely) of Ellenboro, NC, and Shanna Morgan (Folerinwa Daramula) of Charlotte, NC; grandchild, Jordan Smith; three great grandchildren; sisters, Nadine Dawkins and Lucy Littlejohn, both of Gaffney, SC, Rosa Norris of Forest City, NC, Kathy Gregory (Bobby) of Shelby, NC, Cynthia Houser of Forest City, NC, and Jackie Degree of Boiling Springs, NC; brothers, Willie Lee Jefferies, Julius Jefferies, and Calvin Jefferies, all of Gaffney, SC,; in laws, Elizabeth Davis, Doris Hopper (Pete), Mac Daniel Morgan, Jr. (Yvonne), and Janice Morgan, all of Shelby, NC; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Shoal Creek Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m.
