David Wayne Smith, age 65, of Cherryville, passed away Friday, July 10, 2026, at Somerset Court.
He was born September 3, 1960, in Lincoln County, to the late Jack Neal and Agnes Patricia "Pat" Baldwin Smith. David was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He also enjoyed watching the races and fishing.
In addition to his parents, Jack and Pat, David was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Douglas Smith
Survivors include his sister, Donna Lankford (Marty); daughter, Taffa Dixon; nephew, Joshua Mull (Megan); great-nephew, Atlas Mull; and special friends, Kevin and Johnny.
No formal services are scheduled.
