Diane Propst McCauley, 68, of Casar, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023 at Roper St Francis Mount Pleasant Hospital, Mount Pleasant, SC .

Born in Cleveland County, on November 1, 1955, she was the daughter of the late John Colon Propst and Ruby Frances Parker Propst. She was a retired Clinical Lab Scientist for Caromont Regional Hospital, Gastonia and Saint Francis Hospital, Charleston, SC Diane enjoyed spending time in her garden and hiking in the mountains but she loved most spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband Steven L. McCauley; son, Jason Duty of Raleigh; daughter Celeste Smaragdis and husband Teddy of Waxhaw; brother, Mitchell Propst and wife Naomi of Casar; granddaughter, Penelope Smaragdis and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Olive Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Terrill Crump officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
