Donna Smith Gann, 76, of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, passed away on July 4, 2024 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby.

Born April 24, 1948 in Cleveland County, she was daughter of the late Palmer and Irene Haynes Smith and was also preceded in death by her great-great-grandson Carter. Donna was born and raised in Kings Mountain, where she worked many years at Margrace Mill and was most recently employed as a manager at Sub Factory. She was a longtime member at Harvest Baptist Church in Kings Mountain and was also known in the community for her outstanding shag dancing. She would go shagging by the pool or down at the American Legion, and oftentimes the dance floor would clear for her and her dance partner to put on a show. Donna also enjoyed browsing in stores and malls; her motto was "shop 'til you drop." Donna was a loving mother, grandmother, great- and great-great-grandmother who was dedicated and devoted to her family. Her love and kindness will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

SURVIVORS: Children: Tammy Towery, Penny Norwood and husband, Mike, and Josh Gann, all of Kings Mountain, North Carolina
Siblings: Jan Huntsinger, Mike Smith and wife, Gail, Vickie Parker, and Johnny Mixon
Grandchildren: Mindy, Megan, Nikki, and Emily
Great-grandchildren: Luke, Kayla, Hunter, Samantha, Dakota, Tucker, and Garrison
Great-great-grandson: Preston

FUNERAL SERVICE: Tuesday, July 9th, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. in the Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Perry Hines officiating.

VISITATION: Tuesday, July 9th, 2024 prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:50 A.M. in the parlor at Harris Funeral Home.

INTERMENT: Westview Gardens Cemetery, Bessemer City, North Carolina
