Elizabeth "Love" Morrison Luckadoo

Elizabeth "Love" Morrison Luckadoo, 94, of Six Points, NC, passed away

peacefully on Monday, July 4, 2022. Elizabeth was born on June 7,

1928, and she was raised in the Boiling Springs area in North Carolina.

Elizabeth was the daughter of the Late Robert and Ester Jane

Ledford Morrison and the beloved wife of the Late Hugh Cline

Luckadoo.

Elizabeth was known to all who knew her and loved her as MawMaw or

Aunt Love. Elizabeth resided at Accordius Health at Rutherford,

formerly known as White Oak Manor, for the past several years. She

was cherished by all of her wonderful caregivers, nurses,

administrators, and especially by her roommate, Ms. Ruby. One of

Elizabeth's favorite memories from her time at Accordius was being

named "Ms. Congeniality." She also loved when one of her

granddaughters would "sneak" her from the facility for a ride through

the country.

Before moving into Accordius, Elizabeth's home had an "open-door"

policy. Her home was open to anyone at anytime. Elizabeth was an

amazing Mom, Wife, Grandmother, Aunt, Sister, Friend, Caretaker and

Babysitter to many, many people. If you walked into her home, the

first question that she would ask of you was "Have you had anything to

eat?" Even if you had, you knew that it didn't matter as she was going

to make something for you any ways. Elizabeth's home was a safe haven

for anyone that needed a place to be where there was no judgment,

true unconditional love, respect, and the most immense joy that you

could ever imagine. Elizabeth was the most incredible cook and

seamstress, and she passed these talents to anyone that wanted to

learn. Although, no one could cook a meal better than MawMaw

Luckadoo.

Elizabeth loved her family more than anything in the world. She was so

proud of her children, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She

was especially blessed to have her sister, Gail, in her life and by her

side throughout her entire journey. Elizabeth was easy to love and she

loved with her whole heart. She had the sweetest and most gentle soul.

She worked hard to provide for her family, and she was most

respected for the immense love that she had for her family and

friends. Elizabeth was an advocate for her family and she fiercely

protected and guarded the hearts of everyone she loved. Elizabeth and

her husband, Hugh, taught their children the value of having a strong

work ethic, loyalty and a Servant's heart.

Elizabeth was kind to everyone and she never met a stranger. She used

to love to sit on her front porch swing and tell her grandkids funny

stories from her past while teaching them how to "break beans" and

"can the goods" from her garden. Elizabeth never lost her sense of

humor, and she had a gift for making anyone she was talking to feel

loved and appreciated. Elizabeth loved her pets, flowers, coffee,

reading her bible, listening to gospel music, gardening, and her Snuff!

She loved the Lord and she made sure to teach the importance of

forgiveness and kindness.

Elizabeth gave the sweetest hugs and she had the brightest smile. She

will be forever remembered as everyone's MawMaw and as a true

blessing from God. Elizabeth's four children owned her heart. In

addition to her parents and husband, Elizabeth was preceded in death

by her daughter, Rebecca Jane "Becky" Luckadoo, brothers, Joe

Morrison, Melvin Morrison, Billy Ray Morrison, Willie Fay Morrison, Jon

Morrison, Nolan Morrison and David Morrison; sisters, Alda Mae Crump,

and Katherine (Kat) Luckadoo. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter,

Jewell Lepage, and her husband, Rick, of Sherrills Ford, NC; son, Danny

Luckadoo, and his wife, Linda, of Cliffside, NC; son, Carroll Luckadoo,

and his wife, Vanessa, of Plant City, FL; granddaughters, Cindy

Luckadoo Nussbaum, Kathy Luckadoo Ross and her husband, Mike Ross,

and Michelle Luckadoo Clement and her husband, Matt Clement;

grandsons Michael Pruitt and Christopher Edwards; great-grandsons,

Evensen Ross and Billy Mac Clement; and sisters, Gail Swafford and her

husband, Lloyd and Mozelle West and many nieces and nephews and

cherished loved ones.

A memorial service will be held in the A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel at Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, NC on Thursday, July

7, 2022 at 11:00am with Reverend Robby Hensley officiating. Burial will immediately follow at the Goodes Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
