Ernie Tyrone Roseboro, 52, was born on February 10, 1971 in Shelby, NC.

He transitioned to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at his place of residence.

He was the son of the late George Archie and Kay LaVon Roseboro Meeks and step son of Roger Meeks of Cherryville, NC.

Ernie was a beloved member of the Shoal Creek Community in Shelby. He graduated from Crest High School in 1989, where he was an outstanding basketball player. He spent his time with family and friends listening to his favorite R&B, gospel music, and commenting on the latest sports. He gave his life to Christ along his journey and was eager to share his love of Christ with everyone he knew. Ernie was an easy going beautiful spirit and wanted the best for all his family and friends.

Ernie is preceded in death by his parents, maternal grandparents, Osko and Euzelia Chambers Roseboro; paternal grandparents, Cicero and Betty Gill; aunts, Dorothy Roseboro, Ruby Lee Foster, and Louise Huskey; and special cousins, Teresa Foster and Tony Foster.

Left to cherish his memories is his children, Jasmine B'Nai Roseboro Hines (Todd), Jaylan Armontee Moore, Ernice Tyrone Roseboro Jr.; a sister, Ashley Sweezy (Brant) of Fallston, NC; uncles, James Roseboro (Johana) of Wichita, KS and Sonny Roseboro of Blacksburg, SC; and significant other Rebecca Moore of Grover, NC; five stepchildren, Angelica Adams, Jamittron Fair, Tomarcus Adams, Loby Littlejohn, and Tanevia Adams; special cousins, Franklin Roseboro (Lesia), Dr. Jacqueline Roseboro, Louisea Roseboro (Dale), Chris Roseboro, Angela Alexander (Anthony); and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel at 11 am. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until 11 a.m.
