Evelyn Jane Parker, 69, of Blacksburg, SC passed away Saturday morning, May 31, 2025, at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Forest City, NC.

She is the wife of Gerald Parker and daughter to the late Alonzo and Stella Ashley Hess. Before her illness, Mrs. Parker drove school busses for Cherokee County School District. She enjoyed crafting in her free time, especially woodworking and crocheting, and completing crossword puzzles.

In addition to her husband, left to cherish her memory are 3 children: Eric Hess of Shelby, NC; Dustin Parker (Hope) of Lenoir, NC; and Amber Raines of Pacolet, SC, brothers; Ronnie Hess, Lonnie Hess (Evelyn) and sister, Benita Hamrick (Danny). Also surviving are six grandchildren: Andrew Hess, Preston Raines, Britteny Thompson, Bethany Parker, Julie Raines, Harley Bryant, and great grandchild Josiah Edenfield. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandchild Kadence Bryant.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2025, from 6-8 PM at White Columns Funeral Service, at other times the family will be at their respective homes.
